 ISPS CODE AT KAKINADA PORT
     To regulate the access, control of any unlawful entry or exit of any terrorist and their equipment ISPS Code is being implemented as per the Direction of DG Shipping.
Port Facility Security Plan was approved by D.G. shipping on 29-12-03.
Port Security Advisory Committee Constituted
Pass system is introduced in the port
Perimeter wall constructed along the port area to fence the port facility.
Gates are erected in all entry points of the port.
Security Personnel are posted on the Gates.
Procedures are established to control the entry, parking, loading and unloading the vehicles.
Procedures adopted to under take vehicle searches Metal detectors are provided.
Gates erected to ensure rail security.
Automatic Intrusion Detections (DFMD) are installed.
Port facility illuminated with appropriate lights.
VHF station shifted within the operational area
Training given to security personnel
Emergency Response Plan (ERP) is prepared.
Contact established with Local / National enforcement agencies.
Action taken to have an agreement with the Inspector General, Intelligence for bomb disposal
Sea patrolling is carried out regularly
Radar Based AIS equipment installed.
Security equipments are installed to enhance the Security measures.
